Tomorrow, the Rotary Club of Corpus Christi continues a long-standing tradition with the Harvey Weil Sportsman Conservationist Award Dinner. This event honors individuals who have made a lasting impact on the land and waters of South Texas—those who give back far beyond what they take. It’s a celebration of stewardship, conservation, and the responsibility to protect the natural resources that define our region.Year after year, this evening brings together people who understand that conservation isn’t just about today—it’s about preserving something meaningful for generations to come.#Rotary #PeopleOfAction #CorpusChristi #Conservation #SouthTexas #HarveyWeil #ServiceAboveSelf ... This week at the Rotary Club of Corpus Christi, we had the pleasure of hearing from our Rotary Youth Exchange student, Michaela Vidova, who shared her journey and the impact of the program on her life.Michaela spoke about following in the footsteps of both her father and her sister, and how that path led her to an experience that has been nothing short of life-changing. From new cultures to new connections, she reflected on how grateful she is for every opportunity the Rotary Youth Exchange program has given her—and how those experiences will stay with her long after this year. We’re especially grateful to the students from Solomon Coles High School, who reminded us that there are many pathways to success. Their stories of resilience and determination in the face of challenges were truly moving. We also loved hearing from the students of Veterans Memorial High School, whose friendship and support for one another showed how powerful it is to have someone by your side. Their bond was a great example of how encouragement can open doors and create new opportunities. It was a meaningful meeting all around, made even more special with a surprise Lifetime Achievement Award presentation to Rotarian Mike Kershaw in recognition of his lasting impact and dedication.Moments like these are what make our Thursdays so special. If you’ve been looking for a way to connect, grow, and give back in Corpus Christi, we’d love to have you join us. Another great event! D.E.A.R (Drop Everything And Read) at Sam Houston Elementary.Every year, volunteers from the Rotary Club of Corpus Christi take time off from their busy lives to read to the students at Sam Houston Elementary. Not sure who had more fun, the students, or our members. We love giving back to the community. Man that guy did a great job. I didn’t even feel it. I feel a little bit. OK. ... See MoreSee Less
