Our Veteran’s Day program Thursday will be aboard the USS Lexington. Juan Garcia III will be our speaker.
Juan Garcia III is a second-generation Naval Aviator, whose father was from Robstown.
A graduate of UCLA, Harvard Law School and Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, he is a retired Navy CAPT, and served for eight years as an instructor pilot at NAS Corpus Christi.
He represented the Coastal Bend in the Texas Legislature, and was appointed by President Obama to serve as Assistant Secretary of the Navy.
A leader at Amazon and now Deloitte, he serves on the Board of the Wounded Warrior Project.
