February 5, 2015 Meeting

Dokken, Quenton

Join us Thursday as Quenton Dokken enlightens us on the recent Gulf of Mexico studies.  The Gulf of Mexico Foundation promotes and facilitates conservation of the health and productivity of the Gulf of Mexico and its resources through education, public awareness, research and leadership programs.  As Executive Director of the Gulf of Mexico Regional Marine Research Program, he has led his professional peers in developing priorities for marine research in the Gulf, a daunting task in the face of declining research dollars.

Leadership is learned by doing—and this week, our Rotarians stepped into the RYLA experience!Led by Mary McQueen, members participated in interactive activities normally used to help RYLA students build confidence, strengthen communication skills, work with others, and grow into thoughtful, capable leaders.RYLA is one of the many ways the Rotary Club of Corpus Christi invests in young people and the future of our community. It also gave our own members a chance to learn, laugh, and grow together—because leadership development never stops. When you join Rotary, you become part of a club that develops leaders, serves our community, builds lasting friendships, and creates opportunities to make a meaningful difference.Ready to get involved?
