The District Clerk supports the District and County Courts at Law, ensuring timely case dispositions and maintaining all court documents. They manage filing, processing, and preservation of official court records, prepare dockets, and compile court minutes. The Clerk is responsible for collecting and disbursing court costs, fines, and fees while also gathering and reporting data to various state and local agencies. Additionally, they oversee jury selection, sending summons, and coordinating juror activities. In 2014, Ms. Lorentzen successfully ran for Nueces County District Clerk and is currently completing her third term. This presents an excellent opportunity to learn more about Anne and ask questions about her experiences in office.
