Dwayne Dee’s passion for this chapter of American history stems from his father, who joined the Army Air Force at 18 in 1942 and earned his pilot’s license within a year. His father became a C-47 pilot and trained many of the glider pilots who landed on Normandy during D-Day. Dwayne is set to deliver a presentation titled “All Gave Some… Some Gave All,” which offers an overview of the American cemetery in Normandy, France. This program will detail the logistical aspects of the D-Day invasion and provide a visual tour of the hallowed ground where 9,388 U.S. military service members are laid to rest. A highlight of the presentation is a video showcasing the daily flag ceremony conducted at the cemetery. We encourage you to make plans to attend this meeting!
