This Thursday, we’ll welcome Shannon Flores, Texas Outreach Coordinator for Offshore Wind Energy with the National Wildlife Federation, for a look at offshore wind and what its development could mean for Texas and the Coastal Bend. Shannon will discuss how offshore wind works, the Gulf’s wind-energy potential, and how responsible development can balance new energy opportunities with protecting wildlife and coastal communities. She’ll also highlight Texas’ growing connection to the industry through engineering, manufacturing, steel and shipbuilding—including work already taking place in Ingleside.
